About

Cassie wants to escape! Distorted perceptions and a dissolving sense of reality encompass Cassie as she tries to find her place in this world.

Plot Outline

CASSIE (meaning “unheralded prophetess”) loves the party life but when she experiments with new drug on street 2CB, she loses her grip on reality and is seduced into a fiction of a video game. Simultaneously she meets a more stable guy, Art who is recently separated from a bitter break-up but quickly rebounds and falls with force for Cassie. A quick-fire romance ensues. Cassie is fascinated with how early humans understood their place in the universe and the rituals of sacrifice they practiced. Art is intrigued by Cassie’s philosophical meanderings but doubt starts to emerge of not only her odd eccentric behaviour but her haunting dark past. Cassie tries to suture her delusions through ritualistic experimentation of hallucinogenic drugs; but this only further blurs the boundaries between fantasy and reality drawing Art further into Cassie’s psychotic collapse and ultimately his cataclysmic downfall.
